Ireland
is well known for having a very wet climate,
but if we didn't then we wouldn't have such a
beautiful green countryside for you to visit!
Located off the European seaboard, Ireland
enjoys a temperate climate, and the Gulf
Stream also washes its westerly shores. This
means that you may find some tropical plants
and trees quite at home here and even some
species of palm trees!
The winter months, from October to February,
are generally the coldest months although,
recently, temperatures into October have been
quite mild. Do not be surprised to find some
very rainy days in the middle of our
"Irish Summer"
